On Friday, our Foundation classes were treated to a special incursion with a visit from Animals Anonymous. This exciting experience gave students the opportunity to learn about a variety of native animals and their unique features, supporting our Term 2 science focus on animal characteristics.
The children were absolutely thrilled to meet and even pat some of the animals, sparking lots of curiosity and wonder. Some of the highlights included watching a squirrel glider soar from their class teacher and back to the AA educator, seeing a massive python up close, and meeting some friendly, but dangerous, creatures like a crocodile!
It was a hands-on learning experience they won’t soon forget.
Year 5 E-Day

Year 4s Explore the Adelaide Botanic Gardens
On Tuesday, our Year 4 students enjoyed a fantastic excursion to the Adelaide Botanic Gardens as part of their HASS learning. The day included a self-led tour focusing on plant adaptations, where students explored how different plants survive in varying environments.
The highlight of the day was a guided tour led by Trent Hill, who took students on an engaging journey through the gardens. He shared fascinating insights into how the Kaurna people traditionally used native plants for food, medicine, tools, and shelter.
It was a day full of discovery, learning, and fresh air! While the students returned tired from all the walking and exploring, they were buzzing with new knowledge and excitement.

3C Easter Art

Easter Walk in the Garden at PPN
Easter is a time to celebrate with family and friends, it is the heart of the Biblical Gospel that centres around the gift of life that Jesus gave to us on the cross. This week, students at Prescott Primary Northern have participated in the Easter Walk, through the Nature Playground, interacting with the story of Jesus and displays to bring a deeper understanding of the beautiful gift of grace. The students were led through the nature play space and were told the beautiful easter story, interacting with the props as their teachers shared each part of the story. At the end of the trail, classes stopped to reflect on the true meaning of Easter, as depicted in the artwork by many of our students across the school. Teachers led their classes in worship as music invited us to worship the risen King. The blessed hope that Jesus is alive gives us purpose for the future. It was a blessing to see each teacher share the powerful story of Jesus, and the true meaning behind Easter.
Finish Strong
This term we have been singing a song by Becky Drake, Nick Drake (2021 album The Rock) the chorus of which says:
Stand strong
God is with you
Stand strong
God is for you
Stand strong
Jesus is the Rock you're on
It has been awesome hearing the students belting out the words of the song and following the actions. As we wind up the term and get ready for the holidays, the wear of the eleven-week long term is visible in the students and the staff. They are all ready for a rest and definitely, when it does come at the end of the week, there will be deep appreciation for the rest.
The assurance that God has been with us this term is undeniable looking at all we have achieved as a school community. The learning, the fun that went along with it, the worship times and even the sometimes not so easy times serve only to remind us the God has been with us.
We have stood strong, but I also want to encourage us to finish strong as we head into the break. When we get to the end of the week, please remember to “Stand strong” and enjoy the break knowing the Rock on which you stand. Happy holidays. May God watch over you as you rest and take a break from the school run for a couple of weeks. Looking forward to what lies ahead in the new term.
