On Monday the 29th of March, a team of 13 players travelled to Tyndale Christian School to participate in the Interschool Chess Tournament for this term.

It was an exciting day, with Prescott finishing in first place! Many players had their best tournament with 7 receiving gold medals. We especially congratulate Aishwarya who also won the best player of the day (the only person to win all of her games) and also finishing as top girl player of the tournament! 

Congratulations to the whole team for your wonderful sportsmanship and great play.

The Gift of Jesus Christ

The heart of the Biblical Gospel centres around the gift of life that Jesus gave to us on the cross. This week, students at Prescott Primary Northern have participated in the Easter Walk, through the Nature Playground, interacting with the story of Jesus and displays to bring a deeper understanding of the gift of grace. Students paused to write short messages to represent their thankfulness for the gift of new life that Jesus provided for us. They then rolled up the messages and placed them on the cross. The blessed hope that Jesus has risen gives us hope and purpose for the future. For each teacher to share with their students the power of this significant time and to share the true meaning behind Easter was magnificent.
