Principal's Remarks
Welcome to our 2021 school year at Prescott Primary Northern. To our families who are returning to us, we say “Welcome Back”! To families joining us for the first time this year, we say “Welcome, it is so good to have you as part of our Prescott Primary Northern Family.” We are looking forward to another year of fun, learning, growth and caring for one another. I think it is going to be an interesting year in that the regulations associated with the COVID pandemic continue to mean that we have restrictions and protocols that result in us needing to constantly adjust our program. I appreciate how frustrating it can be that we are not able to be involved as we normally would, but I ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate our way through. Please know that our default is to do as much as we can for our students and families while following the guidance we receive from Prescott Schools SA, Association of Independent Schools and SA Health.
I would like to say an extra special welcome to our brand new Foundation Students. Yesterday was their very first day of school and what a great job they did. This morning was their first Chapel time with us, and there were lots of wide eyes and wonder as we sang and had stories. We are looking forward to seeing one member from each family at our Foundation Information Session this evening at 6.30 pm. The information will also be available online.
Next Tuesday night, we will have Parent Information Sessions for our Year 1 – 6 families. Again, we ask that one family member join each classroom session so we can maintain our COVID safe numbers. This is a great chance to meet the teachers and find out how things run in your child’s classroom. The information will also be made available online to those who may prefer not to or be able to visit.
I want to finish by saying thank you for your continuing support of Prescott Primary Northern. I know many of our families make great sacrifices to have their children at our school, and please know that it does not go unnoticed, and it is much appreciated.
Have a great week with your kids,
Mark B
