Book of the Week
Hello Lighthouse written by Sophie Blackall is another book that has been shortlisted for a Children’s Book Council of Australia award. This term we will continue reading books on the shortlist and our students will be given a chance to vote on their favourite book and which they think will win.
Hello Lighthouse is a beautiful picture book about hope, change and the passing of time. It shows the progressive history of the lighthouse, run by a lighthouse keeper and his family. There are many circular references and themes woven throughout the story of the lighthouse keeper and his very unique job.
