Not Good Enough
What would you buy if you had $300,000?
A new car? A new house? Or a dream holiday?
A recent study done by beauty e-tailer SkinStore, showed that women in the United States can spend up to $300,000 just on their face during their lifetime.
Wherever we look, advertisers are constantly telling us that we are not good enough the way we are. In fact, this can be traced right back to the Garden of Eden when Satan told Eve that she was not good enough. He told her that if she just ate the fruit from the forbidden tree, she would be like God. This is the lie that we are confronted with daily. You are not good enough at sport! You are not pretty enough! You are not smart enough! You are NOT enough!
If this ended here it would be a sad story indeed, but God shows us right through the Bible that you are good enough, crushing Satan’s accusations time and time again.
He restores us. He meets us where we are at and covers us in His righteousness. He has made us His sons and daughters, sons and daughters of a King. He doesn’t want anything from us, He simply wants to connect with us.
Such a contrast between the accuser, Satan, and the restorer Jesus.
