That is the date the Church Car park closes and it will be closed for the rest of the year. The reason is a major resurface and reline of the area and the contractors need the last few weeks of school to make sure work is complete, before the start of school next year. This will impact:

• Access to school at drop off and pick up
• Access to myOSHC
• Access to Little Giggles Playgroup on Monday mornings at 9.30 in the Church Hall.
• Access to the Waiting Room (A comfy place by the Church car park to wait in the afternoon for pick up)

Solutions:

Alternative Nelson Road side entry is being developed to access the school through a new gate on the south side of the church house (see diagram)

Alternatives for Drop Off/Pick Up

1. Use the New Drop Off and Pick up drive through Zone – This is our PREFERRED OPTION
2. Park in side streets away from the school and enjoy a walk and some exercise
3. Park in the Uniting Church Car Park over the Road (see diagram for where to park and obey traffic signs in the car park)
4. Use the express 3 pm (Mon – Thursday) 2.10 pm (Fridays) pick up – in and be gone by 3.10/2.20pm

QUESTIONAIRE  – WE NEED YOUR HELP

We need to know what your plans are for picking up in Weeks 5 to 9 so we can have your child waiting in the right place. There is a questionnaire at this link,

Please click and complete one for each child so we can plan.  You may have different plans for different days, possibly even for different children, so please indicate that on the questionnaire. The options will be:

1. Express Early Pick Up – 3.00 pm Mon – Thurs 2.10 Fri – Go quickly to classroom get child & bag and leave quickly. (something we are introducing only for the last 5 weeks of this year)
2. Normal Pick Up - 3.15pm/2.30pm exactly from classroom
3. Drive through Pick Up from new Pick Up Zone 3.25 – 3.45 pm
4. School Bus
5. myOSHC
6. Walk home – with specific parental permission only

There will also be a space to share specific exceptional circumstances.

We will give more specific instructions for the Drive Through Pick Up (to help make sure we have your child/children ready as quickly as possible to get into your car) and the new Nelson Road side entry over the next week or so.

There are so many things happening around the school as far as building works are concerned and I know it can be inconvenient and confusing, but I appreciate how understanding our children, families and staff have been. Thank you, and the last 5 weeks or so of school is going to be even more challenging, so we will need to keep working together even more.
