Carol McCloud wrote a book called, “Have You Filled a Bucket Today?”

This book encourages positive behaviour as children see how very easy and rewarding it is to express kindness, appreciation and love daily.

Connecting with community allows our Student Chaplains to show appreciation to different services in the community and it was decided that the Holden Hill Police Command would be a great place to start.

The student chaplains took a BIG box of apples and small chocolates down to Holden Hill Police Command last Friday.  Senior Sergeant Coen and Sergeant Ben were ecstatic and kept thanking the students for dropping in.  They said that most people just come to the police station to complain. The Sergeant’s spent time with the student chaplains asking questions and even took a group photo that was used in the Police News.

The bus was abuzz on the way back to school as the students were also excited about the response that they had received from the Police Sergeants.  It was a great Community Connecting event where everyone’s buckets were filled.

Try encouraging someone today and experiencing firsthand joys of bucket filling.
