We want Pizza!

Last night at the Learning Expo Evening, it was amazing to see the great work that our students are involved in at our wonderful school.  There was a buzz in each room as excited students were able to share with pride the projects they have been working on.  The time flew by very quickly.   As our family got in the car to head home it was 8.30pm and our three boys remembered that they were hungry, not just hungry, but starving!

We want pizza, was the chorus that resounded from the back seat of our car!

Take away pizza it was!  When I picked up our pizza. I was greeted by the manager who announced that he had upsized our garlic pizza for free.  What a way to win new customers. We all love something for nothing.  It leaves a great impression when you get something that you don’t deserve or even ask for.

It made me think of the 5000 that were fed by Jesus on the hill side.

They too, would have been so intent on learning, just like my kids last night, that food wasn’t even on their radar.

The 5000 would have been extremely hungry, but only realised it when Jesus stopped preaching.  What a surprise when Jesus performed a miracle and turned a snack of 5 loaves and 2 fish into a feast for thousands.  Free food!

Jesus supplied all the needs of the 5000, both spiritual and physical and Jesus can satisfy all our needs too.
