PPN Upper Primary School Concert

The Upper Primary school production of Madagascar Jr: The Musical was nothing short of a roaring success! From the moment Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Gloria the Hippo, Melman the Giraffe and their wild crew hit the stage, audiences couldn’t help but “move it, move it” in their seats.

Our jungle journey began halfway through Term 2, when our talented Year 6 students bravely stepped into the world of costumes, choreography, and comedy. From that moment on, the cast gave their all to bring this dream to life. They weren’t just wild about performing—they were willing to sacrifice their lunch times, give up recess breaks, and even adjust their Term 3 curriculum with incredible flexibility to make the show shine.

Every student went above and beyond, balancing academics with artistic achievement. Between learning lines, practicing tricky dance moves, and polishing off Broadway-worthy songs, the dedication of our performers was as strong as Alex’s roar. Their resilience and energy showed not only in the final performance, but also throughout the rehearsal season—proof that this group of kids knows how to go the “extra mile” (or maybe the extra safari trek!).

The performances were electric! The audience was transported to the Adelaide Zoo before taking a wild ride to Madagascar itself. The laughter, the applause, and the energy in the room showed just how much the students’ hard work had paid off. From dazzling dance numbers to comic timing worthy of the “King of the Lemurs,” our students delivered a show that will be remembered for years.

We are so proud of each cast member for their roaring courage, their teamwork, and their passion. They proved they weren’t just “born to be wild”—they were born to shine!

Also a massive thanks to the Upper Primary Team for their sacrifice of lunches, releases and sanity to make this production sen-lemur-sational!

Ride4Life Zooms into PPN!

This week, something super cool happened at our school, the Ride4Life team came to visit!

These four awesome ladies are riding a giant bike made for FOUR people all the way across Australia! Why? To help spread the word about mental health, that means looking after our feelings, thoughts, and friendships.

To support their big ride, we had a tasty fundraiser: Zooper Doopers for $2! Every icy treat helped raise money for Gotcha4Life, a group that teaches kids how to stay mentally healthy and be great mates.

Thanks to everyone who joined in and bought a Zooper Dooper, you helped make a difference!

Let’s keep being kind, talking about our feelings, and cheering on the Ride4Life team as they pedal across the country!
