School Highlights
Lowers Sports Day
Last week was a busy week with both Middle/Upper and Lowers Sports Day happening. We were blessed with great weather for our Lower Sports Day on Friday and had so much fun jumping over hurdles, dressing up in the sprints and even getting a bit wet with our water relay! We finished with a whole school lunch on the back oval which was a great time to catch up with one another. A big thanks to our Sports Captains for helping out on the day too.

Canberra a Hit With Year 6
Our Year 6s have had amazing time in Canberra this week. After leaving early on Sunday morning, and full days of exploring and learning, they are on their way back Wednesday evening. We can’t wait to hear all their stories after they arrive on Thursday. We’ll share more photos next week, but for now here’s a sneak peak into another amazing Canberra trip.

Interschool Chess Competition
On Monday, qualifying students from our Chess Club attended the Northeastern Zone Interschool Chess Tournament. Many Primary schools were away on camp, so our team spent the day playing mostly High School students. Despite this, we still managed to come second overall (Primary and High School teams combined) and first in the Primary School division! True grit and resilience was shown by our team members who were at times playing up against Year 12 students. It was very challenging for those high school players, when they lost against one of our team members!
We congratulate the whole team, but especially Anthony, who finished in first place in the Primary School Division, and Riya, who was the top scoring girl player of the day. We congratulate the gold medal players - Onyou, Kartikeya, Neil and Anthony. Well done to everyone on your great sportsmanship and encouragement to your team. We are very proud of you all!

Nature Play
Our PPN community are a welcoming bunch of people and Week 8 was a real highlight as we celebrated Harmony Week and what it means to belong. In the nature play space last week, our students went on a hunt for orange sashes and reflected on what it means to them to be a member of PPN… straight from the heart!
