New Names, Same Amazing Teachers

Over the year end break two of our amazing teachers got new names – no, not nicknames, real names! A big congratulations to Mrs Stephanie Corbo (was Miss Ricci) and Mrs Belinda Ryan (was Miss Toohey) on their recent weddings.

NAPLAN – Year 3 and Year 5

We are currently preparing for NAPLAN at PPN. Yesterday, our Year 3 and Year 5 students participated in the national Coordinated Practice Test.

We will be confirming the exact sequence for our NAPLAN tests with Year 3 and Year 5 families shortly.

Year 3 and Year 5 families are encouraged to check their inboxes for further information that was sent last week regarding NAPLAN.

Private Instrumental Lessons and Choir

Dear students and families of Prescott, I am very excited to share with you some wonderful music opportunities that you are able to enjoy this year. Unfortunately, both of these opportunities are only available to students in Year Three or above.
Firstly, we offer private lessons on campus in a range of different instruments. At Prescott we have four very talented tutors who teach the piano, guitar, flute, clarinet and saxophone. The students who learn an instrument at school will have the opportunity to participate in our biannual music recitals and if you so choose, they can complete an exam by the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB).
If your child would like to take up this offer, then please have them collect a permission note (with more details on it) either from myself or the front office.
Secondly, your child is able to enrol in our Prescott School Choir. In choir, students have the opportunity to sing, act and play instruments in front of a range of audiences. We love to worship God through music and drama, and this opportunity is completely free.
If your child would like to sign up for choir, they can come and collect a permission note from myself.
Please don't hesitate to email if you have any further questions (caitlinsmith@ppn.sa.edu.au),
God bless,
Caitlin Irankunda

Casual Bus Drivers Needed

Do you have a heavy vehicle license, time available and a willingness to fill in as a casual bus driver at PPN? Or, do you know someone who is?

If so, we would love to hear from you! From time to time we require bus drivers to fill in for our regular drivers, either for morning and afternoon routes or on excursions. If you can help on an ad-hoc, paid basis please phone the school or email info@ppn.sa.edu.au
