Principal Remarks
Memories are made here
I listened in on a conversation with some of our Year 6's who are about to finish their schooling here. They were wondering how they would still be able to come back here and maintain some connections with the school after they graduate. Primary school is a great place to learn about themselves, their strengths and their responses to situations that may have challenged them. All of us have special memories of places, things and people who have been part of our journey in life. Thus, the students’ desires to maintain some connections with a place, people and experiences that have helped to shape them is not unique to them as young people.
The word “remember” is attached to a lot of Biblical principles, so memory is an important part of our spiritual connections. We all have memories of positive things that we are happy to maintain connections with. The question is, how are you going to get back to these and maintain connections with your favourite “remembers?”
