Chaplain's Remarks
Good afternoon PPN Family,
When you look at this image what was it that you see first? A rabbit or a duck? I loved looking at these optical illusions when I was younger. I always found it fascinating how a change of view can reveal something different.
We can view God in the same way. Our experiences and views often influence how we see God, maybe we see Him like a master, or to others a father. But when we read His word and share with each other the many things He has done for us, that picture gets a bit clearer.
"No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us. If we love each other, God’s love has reached its goal. It is made perfect in us."
1 John 4:12 ICB
What I think this verse is showing us is, though we cannot see God physically, it's His love living within us that shows the world what He is like. Because He is love.
"And so, we know the love that God has for us, and we trust that love. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God lives in Him."
1 John 4:16 ICB
So, what kind of picture of God are we showing each other? What are our friends and family seeing when they look at us?
Especially now when there are so many things trying to distort how we view God. Let us remember that when we live and share God's love with one another, the clearer the picture we want to share gets.
Many Blessings,
Pr Andy
