Turning 50 is fun! It was so good to see so many of our Prescott community come together to celebrate and give thanks for the way God has led our school over the last 50 years. Thanks for celebrating with us and for helping make PPN what it is today. We can't wait to see how things change over the next 50! 

Reflecting on Service

 ‘How can you serve others this year?’ Our Year 6 students have been considering this question as they start the year – and as they complete a very unique self-portrait. The students completed the ‘half-a-face’ portrait, and wrote a bible verse that inspires them, or a reflection on how they would like to serve others in 2024. The pieces are proudly displayed them in the classroom as a daily reminder about who they are and how they want serve. Great stuff, Year 6!

Water play

With Swimming Safe Week in full swing, we continued the theme of water play in our Nature Play Space with the addition of pipes and wooden boats to add to the space.

The children were quick to come and collect the new materials when the bell went, but to my surprise used them in several different ways.  A little wooden canoe was seen as a container for ‘food,’ a boat, a sand scoop, and a plate. It was wonderful to see how creative the students were, and how each group of children were playing in their own imaginative way.

Nature play can be wonderful and versatile. What was originally planned as a water and pipe play session became something completely different - the students still used the materials provided, just in their own creative way.
