Chaplain's Remarks

Hello Prescott Families

This weekend is Father's Day, which is an awesome time to show our dads, grandfathers, or father figures just how much they mean to us.

There are so many things that they do for us and sometimes we forget to thank them. I know that if anything in my house is broken or loose, my dad will have his toolbox ready to go.

The last time my dad came to my house, he pointed out at least three things that he said he'd come back and fix, and one of those things even required a welder.
But there's another Father we should think of, our Heavenly Father. There's a hymn that I would sing in church a lot called This Is My Father's World. It goes like this:
This is my Father's world
And to my listening ears
All nature sings, and roundly rings
The music of the spheres

This is my Father's world
The birds their carols raise
The morning light, the lily-white
Declare their maker's praise

This is my Father's world
I rest me in the thought
Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas
His hand the wonders wrought

This is my Father's world
Oh, let me ne'er forget
That though the wrong seems oft so strong
God is the ruler yet

This is my Father's world
Why should my heart be sad?
The Lord is King, let the heavens ring
God reigns, let the earth be glad

This is my Father's world
He shines in all that's fair
In the rustling grass I hear Him pass
He speaks to me everywhere
It talks about how God made this whole world for us, the nature that surrounds us sings his praises, and even though this world can be terrible and sorrowful, that God is still king, and we shouldn't be worried. Because just like our Father's, Grandfather's or whoever we look up to, He will be there no matter what.
Wishing you all an awesome week.
Blessings,
Pr Andy.
