Foundation Play Date
Our annual Foundation Play Date is a very special time for the Foundation students and their parents, special people, and younger siblings to connect in our Nature Play space.
The theme for the morning was ‘Living and Non-Living Things’. Armed with their treasure map, the students were excited to learn, create and observe. Their creativity and imagination showed in the creatures that were painted onto rocks, moulded in salt dough and in the cubbies, they built using the loose parts. The students were very excited to meet a very special living thing, Miss Bernoth’s dog Indi, and their younger siblings were also able to have lots of pats and cuddles.
As always, the reading space was filled with parents and students sharing some books from our library and the parents were able to play with their child and connect with other parents in our community. The Autumn weather was delightful and the drinks were delicious, and there were many happy faces enjoying some quality time playing and learning together.

Easter Walkthrough
Easter is a time to celebrate with family and friends. Most importantly, it is the heart of the Biblical Gospel that centres around the gift of life that Jesus gave to us on the cross. This week, students at Prescott Primary Northern have participated in the Easter Walk, through the Nature Play space, interacting with the story of Jesus and displays to bring a deeper understanding of the beautiful gift of grace.
The students were led through the Nature Play space and were told the beautiful Easter story, interacting with the props as their teachers shared each part of the story. The older students paused to write short messages to represent their thankfulness for the gift of life that Jesus provided for us. They then rolled up the messages and placed them on the cross. The blessed hope that Jesus is alive gives us purpose for the future. It was a blessing to see each teacher share the powerful story of Jesus, and the true meaning behind Easter.
