It’s Mal here coming to you with a newsletter article to help encourage you all as we get closer to the end of the year. I know we often say this a lot, but this year has rocketed past in a flash. In school, that means that there are multiple things that we need to do before we finish. I know for me there seems to be long list of things to be done each day that seems to build and build each day. I know it’s the same for you all.
I thought I’d share an amazing verse that really helps me when I’m personally navigating through the lists of things to do. This verse comes from Hebrews, and it says:
"Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised."
This verse encourages us to continue to patiently endure with everything that we are going through. Through all the tasks we need to do. Through all the tribulations and tests we need to do. God encourages us to stay patient. That isn’t always the easiest thing to do. I know at times I’m very impatient, sometimes in line waiting for food. But it is something that we need to have as we have this amazing hope promised to us in the end.
It is always easy to say these things but putting it into practice is a lot harder. This encouragement comes with an instruction manual. For us to patiently endure our problems, we simply need to stay connected to Him. For staying connected to God through prayer and reading His teachings helps us grow in faith and patience.
I hope this serves as encouragement for you. Enjoy these last couple weeks as we continue to get closer to the end of year. As always, the chaplains' doors are always open for you to come chat or if you need prayer.
