PPN Choir News
Last Thursday, the Prescott Primary Northern School Choir presented a program called ‘To be Kind or not to be Kind’, at both the lower and upper Combined Worships. They led out in the preliminaries and helped Mrs Howard with the song service. A short skit was interspersed with songs to help tell the story of two kings. One king was very kind and his subjects loved and respected him, but the evil king was selfish and arrogant. His lack of kindness to others resulted in him losing his kingdom. The drama students did a wonderful job bringing the story to life. A big thank you to all choir members, you sounded great. It was good to see some of the choir members parents there too. Thank you for supporting our school choir.

Nature Play Art
After a little break from setting up activities outside, the students were excited to see something new in the nature play space. Using nature for pieces of art is a simple but beautiful activity. This week, the students were given the materials to do two different pieces. The thing I love most about art, and using nature, is how different each creation can be. Nature weaving was one activity and completing a self-portrait was the other. Students had a piece of cardboard, rubber bands, and a small collection of leaves and flowers, and had to weave them through the rubber bands to create a beautiful nature weave. Each picture was different, and the students really enjoyed themselves, with one saying, ‘Mrs Watson, I love nature, and doing craft with nature is the best!’
A simple activity like this can easily be done at home without even leaving your house. Collecting leaves and flowers, and a piece of scrap paper and cardboard, you can create some beautiful art with your family two. What kind of art can you and your family make this week?
