For Your Information
Learning Expo Open Classroom Morning
We would like to invite our families onto campus to celebrate the learning that is taking place in our classrooms.
On Tuesday morning 9:15 – 10:45am, August 2nd, we are opening up our classrooms to allow families to book in for a 30-minute session to experience your child’s learning journey.
Due to the current COVID guidelines and advice, families will need to book to secure a session - this will help keep our numbers within the safe COVID guidelines. Booking information will be emailed to families by the end of the week.
We look forward to celebrating our learning with you!
Covid Updates
You will likely have noted the rise in COVID 19 cases over the last couple of weeks, and we would like to have your help in minimising the impact on our school community.
The practice of mask-wearing is highly recommended by SA Health in an educational setting. As such, we ask that you take note of the following:
• While families are still welcome on to school grounds, we would ask that you wear masks unless you have a mask exemption.
• The recommendation (though not mandated) is that students from Years 3 to 12 wear masks while indoors.
• Students travelling on the school buses are requested to continue to wear masks during the journey if at all possible.
• SA Health guidelines require anyone who is a close contact and is aged 12 years and older to wear a mask for 7 days following exposure to COVID.
We will continue to monitor case numbers in our school and review the risks associated with combined activities and excursions.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation with us when it comes to students with COVID-like symptoms. If your child is showing any symptoms, we ask you keep them at home. We will also continue to be vigilant at school with students showing symptoms and ask for your cooperation in caring for them.
Normal school routine and program is our aim, however, we must do what we can to ensure we look after our students and staff, and ensure we have sufficient staff to provide the program of learning our families have come to expect.
Coming in Term 3 – Class Act Schools
We all communicate – but how well do we do it?
Even the best communicators can find ways to improve.
And when communication improves, the tone and culture of your family, workplace or school improves too.
As part of the PPN Community you are invited to participate in the Class Acts Schools program – and we’d love to have you involved.
Class Act Schools invites every member of our school community – students, staff and parents – to participate in an interactive program that teaches positive communication behaviours and empowers each one of us to shape the school’s communication commitments.
As a PPN parent, you will have FREE ACCESS to a series of practical, self-service videos that step you through positive communication behaviours to improve your relationships at home, in the workplace and with the school.
To register for access to the program in Term 3 simply click here to complete a short online form, or scan the QR Code below.
Or, if you’d prefer feel free to call the school office in (08) 8396 2577, or email info@ppn.sa.edu.au
In total this should take no more than 2-hours (but you can start and stop as often as you like over the term). Alternatively, a 25-minute version is available.
Thank you for your interest and involvement in your child's place of learning. We love having them here, and love having you involved.
All Year 5 and Year 6 students will be participating in a specially designed program in Term 3 that will give them communication skills to help them Thrive Together. Watch this space for more information.
