Red Hot Match; Red Pandas V’s Pedare Red

Despite Pedare Red claiming second spot on the League Ladder, Prescott’s Red Pandas came very close to an upset win last week, going down by 2 baskets in a relatively high scoring and spirited game.

Zukiah, scoring a game high 16 points with an abundance of assists, kept the Red Pandas within striking distance throughout, while Savannah, blossoming as a player every week, scored a season high 6, including two from the stripe.

Alanna brought her “A-game” taking on a number of defenders with some dashing dribbles and again winning more than her share of rebounds. Once Seth sorted his laces, he too made some slick breaks and contributed to the Red Panda tally.

Jonah played his usual solid game, used his insight, speed and long pass to set up some Red Panda fast breaks.  Scout applied great pressure to the ball and seemed almost telepathic off the ball in his ability to read the play and cut off passes, as well as stealthily getting himself into superb offensive position.

With our last regular season game at 5:15 tomorrow and finals starting next week, the Red Pandas appear to be finding their groove with impeccable timing.
