UPDATE: COVID Management

You have very likely heard the news that all staff, both employees and volunteers in educational settings are now mandated to be fully vaccinated against COVID19 by the time school resumes in 2022. We are currently working through the management of this with our employees and will begin working with our volunteers in the new school year. We value the work that our volunteers do and are keen to continue the relationship we have with them, while ensuring that we meet all of the requirements under the mandate.

We anticipate that this mandate will have an impact on how we are able to deliver some of our services at school if we are not able to get sufficient vaccinated volunteers or staff, but please know we will do everything we possibly can to continue our program at the highest standards.

School Holiday Office Hours

Holiday hours will apply to our Front Office 8.30am - 3.30pm Mon - Thurs, and 8.30am - 3.00pm Fri. Front Office will be closed between Monday 20 December 2021 and reopen Monday 17 January 2022.

Lunch Deliveries

We would like you to know that taking commercial/fast food type lunches (e.g. Hungry Jacks, MacDonalds, Subway etc.) to classrooms for students is something we will no longer do. There are several reasons for this. Firstly, there are risks involved in food being served later than it should be, and the school is not able to pass that food on. The foods in question can be particularly susceptible to these risks. Secondly, the arrival of some of the commercial foods into a classroom can be very unsettling for the class. Finally, it can create a feeling of lack for some children in the class whose family cannot, or choose not to provide these popular meals for their child.

We provide healthy fresh food options at our canteen that are well-priced, and we are willing to help sort something at short notice if it is an emergency.

Please do not be offended if we say we are not able to deliver these lunches to your child’s classroom.

Many thanks

Mark Borresen
